When you visit the Theodore Payne Foundation nursery, you'll discover that every plant has a placard that provides detailed information on that plant. It provides basic descriptive information, horticultural requirements, and indications of special uses, such as "Attracts Birds" or "Good Under Oaks." These placards were prepared over the Foundation's nearly 50 years of assisting people with California native plant gardening. The information provided on the following pages is drawn from those placards.
