Common Name: Western Red Thistle, Cobweb Thistle

An attractive native thistle that is not weedy or invasive. A nice addition to a wildlife garden. It forms a rosette of spiky leaves the first year. It blooms the second year with a maroon-red flower with cobweb hairs on the bracts.
