History
  • From California Native Plants, Theodore Payne's 1941 catalog: "A loosely branching shrub of somewhat spreading habit 4 to 10 feet high. Leaves narrow, dark green with a roughish or corrugated surface. Flowers rich bright blue appearing from March to May. Gallon cans, 75c."
